Outside of insurance fraud, if the insurance company finds out that you have falsified an application for insurance, they can go back to the date you started the policy and re-rate you from that time til now for back owed earned premium which could stack up quite fast. You might then be facing collections if you cannot pay the earned premium, and if you cannot pay the premium you could face cancellation for non-payment. You can also face the possibility of the insurance company also non-renewing the policy, even if you could pay back owed earned premium.

What are Motor Insurance Brokers?

What to do motor insurance brokers? You assume the role of mediator between the client looking for car insurance and the insurance company that there is. From the client perspective, it can be a particularly useful and rewarding relationship since the broker's experience and knowledge of car insurance Market to ensure not only that the most appropriate type of insurance can be found, but it is also the best value for money.

One of the reassuring Characteristics of the insurance broker's role is that it is a completely independent one. The independent insurance broker is not to a particular insurer or even a select group of insurers bound, but can actually – and independent – to recommend to its customers. Because they have no representative in any vested interest bound, such brokers may just have the insurance needs of a particular customer and find trawl through a huge range of opportunities for providers, perfectly – both in terms of the insurance cover provided and the price.

But finding the most appropriate insurer is only the beginning of the Agent's job. There is an ongoing relationship between customers and brokers that to the latter:

– The future insurance needs such as scheduling of renovation politics;

– Offering expert advice if the insurance needs are more complicated – that the complexity, because the driver's personal circumstances occur, or because of the particular type of vehicle involved are;

– Involved consultation on ways of mitigating some of the risks in motor insurance – For example through the installation of safety devices to protect the car from being stolen by or for advice on the most appropriate level of surplus the customer to take, and thus reduce the number of the insurance premiums are paid;

– Modification of the current insurance – if you change your vehicle or want an additional vehicle added to the existing insurance companies, for example;

– The advice in the event of an accident or other loss or damage to the vehicle, the cause for the need to make an application under the policy gives;

– Collecting the premiums due for insurance.

In other words, there is a lot more to the role of insurance brokers simply sell the customer the Vehicle Insurance in the first place. With so many different providers of car insurance can a broker a vital role in ensuring that its customers buy not only an essential product at a competitive price, but also in the comfort and the recognition that the insurance company will carry out exactly as planned, if and when the time comes to make a claim.

The time for making a claim is often the moment when a certain insurance is really put to the test – if you really measure the value of what your premiums are to cover. Far better, then, had to have the car insurance broker input from the start, rather than to discover an unpleasant surprise if the cover had not really thought up to its promise to live.
